100 Days of School - already gone!!!

We had the 100th day of school celebration on Jan. 15th. I was lucky enough to be able to help again at the 100 minutes of like a billion ... or 100 things to do! Before the actual 100 minutes started there was a short assembly the principal did to recognize the children who had perfect attendance for the first 100 days of school. Well, hold on to your seat, Kolten and Morgan actually had (and still do) perfect attendance! This is really not like us - at all. We always miss school for something - sick days, vacation days, family days or something - so this is really a big deal for us! It is rather amazing! We have been very blessed not to have gotten any of the nasty sick bugs that have gone around at different times. So anyway the principal called up the children (Morgan happened to be first and boy was she excited - she pretty much danced her way down from the bleachers up to stand by the principal - with a HUGE smile on her face!!) There were 7 or 8 kids from the younger grades with perfect attendance & 5 or 6 from the middle school. They had a drawing for a bike with the younger grades and neither Kolten or Morgan won it but they were still pretty excited to be recognized and they even got giant Hershey Bars! The older kids got to be in a drawing for a laptop! And let me tell you - Kolten was all about that! He really wanted to win it, even though he wasn't even in that drawing!:) They also got to have a pizza party and donuts, so it was pretty cool for both of them - especially since it has never happened before, and will probably never happen again!!

They had lots of fun going from "booth" to "booth" making crafts and doing 100s of activities! Let me just say 100 minutes with all that going on flies by!! We all had a fun time!
